Traci is the co-author of The Dangers of Depo: The World’s Most Dangerous Birth Control. A new book about the injectable contraceptive first released in July 2017. Together with Dr. Poppy Daniels, the collaboration resulted in an easy to read, an incredibly informative book about the extremely problematic contraceptive, known as the “depo shot.” Traci is also the Founder of depotruth.ca (@depotruth) an online resource for women to learn about the injectable contraceptive. Traci took Depo in 2010 and is still struggling with the effects to this day which is exactly why she’s so passionate about raising awareness and helping those negatively affected know that they are not alone.

In today’s interview, we’re talking about the side effects of Depo. Whether you’re considering Depo or currently taking it you’ll want to know what to watch for, and we cover the most common side effects in today’s episode.

In this solo episode, I am tackling the topic of Ovulation Predictor Kits! I talk about OPKs and why I don’t think they are all they’re cracked up to be. I share why relying solely on OPKs can reduce your chances of conception in some cases, and why your body gives you much more reliable signs to go on when you pay attention to it!

Registration is now open for my 10 Week Fertility Awareness Mastery Group Program starting in August/September 2017! Make sure to head over to the group program page and apply today to reserve your spot.

 Topics discussed in today's episode:
  • Why relying primarily on Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs) can actually lower your chances of conceiving
  • How OPKs can inadvertently lead you to use the rhythm method
  • The impact of stress on your menstrual cycle

  • Why women with PCOS often can't rely on OPKs to identify ovulation
  • How relying on OPKs can result in you ignoring your body signs
